Hi! I'm Leslie. I'm a thirty-something stay-at-home
wife to David and mother to three year-old Julia and Lucy, who
is on the way. I live in
Newcomerstown, Ohio with the people I love most in the world -
my husband, daughter and parents. We have a lot of cats,
too.
Welcome to My Mommy's Place - a free website I created for moms
in May of 2006.
You care about being a mom - enough to find this place. Chances
are, you are searching for something - an answer, an idea,
encouragement, or perhaps validation that you're making the
right mothering choices. If you're like me, you are
searching for ways to grow and be a better mother.
From the time I learned I was going to be a mom, I was doing my
research. I read books and articles, I took classes, and I
talked to my doctor. Although those resources provided me
with a great deal of information, none of it was as meaningful
as what I drew from other moms.
I felt such excitement and relief the first time I chatted with
a group of new moms, after my daughter was born in 2004. Simply
sharing stories and saying, "Yeah, I'm going through that, too,"
was an invaluable experience. I received a lot of advice
and some great tips from the most credible source -a mom that
had been there. I even had a few answers and ideas to
offer from my new experiences! I walked away from that
impromptu meeting feeling refreshed, empowered and a better
mother than I was before.
My wish for this website is to recreate that experience for you.
I invite you to not only browse the website, but to get
involved. Make this place your own by
sharing your experiences and ideas. A mom's
greatest resource is another mom, and every mother has something
valuable to share.
I am grateful that you found your way here - a place created
from the joy and love of a mother's heart. I hope you will
