Breastfeeding
Help |
Breastfeeding is natural, but it is also a learned skill.
Mothers may get discouraged when breastfeeding doesn't happen
easily. Many of us have thought, "If this is so natural,
why am I having such a rough time? What is wrong with
me?" There's nothing wrong with us. We simply need
time, patience and support to learn. Just as walking is
natural for people, our babies still have to learn how. It
is the same with breastfeeding. It is natural, but we need
to learn how to do it.
