Indoor Fun

Time spent indoors doesn't need to be in front of a television screen or a computer to be fun.  Here you will find suggestions for indoor activities that will keep your child active and learning.

Life-size self-portrait

Catch a glimpse of your child through their eyes with this fun project.  Gather some art supplies and a large, child-size piece of cardboard or paper.  Have your child lie down on the paper, and draw their outline.  Then, let them create a life-size version of themselves!  They can color, draw, paint, or glue items on the outline to depict their features and clothing.  You may want to cut the completed self-portraits out and display them in your child's bedroom.  Children will enjoy measuring their growth with a life-size self-portrait.
